Most of these paintings (except for three of them) began with a book binding. A used book store near me has a box of free books outside for anyone to take. I get books there, remove the pages and use them for the bases of my paintings. Sometimes I cut them up and glue pieces together to create another shape, but usually I just place them vertically or horizontally and begin my work. Take a closer look at the relief paintings and sculptures to see if you can find the books.
